Is the surrounding area safe? Walking from the West of it from the Barrel Thief to the Troll, and not from around here will be walking late this weekend around 10ish or 11ish or so.

We didn’t see a lot of homeless in the area, however, they did just remove a camp a while before we were there. It should be fine, just keep vigilant. Have fun!

It doesn't. There are only two ways to get there without your own car, bus from downtown or taxi, about a 10 minute ride from downtown. If you take the bus you can ride it from downtown into Fremont and walk about 5 minutes up the hill to under the bridge to the troll. Use the trip adviser link on Seattle Metro to plan your trip.
