Hmmm. We did not take a photo of the entrance and I am trying to remember why. I know! It was a parking lot. And the actual entrance I think was less than spectacular. You walk into an open space with the ticket buying area to the right and tables and chairs in front of you. There is a coffee shop and gift shop making two other walls and the entrance to the garden itself ahead. Before hours you can walk past the garden ticket-taker's stand a enjoy the garden for free. The various buildings are off to the right past the open area: library and 3 museums. Never mind the Rose Bowl, no rip to Pasadena is complete without a browse in Vroman's Bookstore.
