Visit Friends of the Wanamaker Organ website and go to Music and Visiting and there you will find Tours of the Organ. The tours are $20 but you must first secure an appointment by email before you purchase. Tours depart from the eagle promptly following following the noon recital which lasts 45 mins.You can visit the console area on the 2nd floor after the recitals (apparently for free, though I have never done this).

As far as I know, the organ is played at noon. Afterwards, you can go upstairs, see it for yourself up close, and talk with the very talented musician who plays it.
