2023年5月30日 · There is a red number "1" over the System Settings icon in the dock, but I cannot figure out what I haven't done. The OS is up to date, I did the latest update today. When I click on the System Settings icon, it goes straight to the Appearance settings, but there is nothing there that's telling me I need to do or change something. Thank you.

2020年4月21日 · click the chat icon with the red 1, then check the chat on left panel from top to the bottom chats, you will met the one which you missed. It will definitely resolve the "red 1" annoying issue. Microsoft sucks! There is no one switch to turn all notifications off! you have to go one channel by one channel! A very dumb application .

I had to click on the Dropbox icon in the tray, go to the Notifications tab, and even though the messages were marked as read I clicked on the More icon on the right side (3 dots) of each notification and dismissed each notification. That finally solved the problem for me to get rid of the red 1 to disappear from the Dropbox icon.

I had the same issue. The red number is not in the accual app but it's a notification from your phone letting you know that a file was added or removed from your dropbox. On my android phone I opened the pull down notifications window at the top of my phone and acknowledged the dropbox notification. The red number on the dropbox app went away.
