2006年3月18日 · Here's an example of Tenryu's blade made especially for aluminum cutting. As long as this isn't a production run, this should work fine and only set you back $36. It has better teeth and a different geometry than what you tried earlier. Wood cutting blades are best kept for cutting wood-not metal.

For me, Milwaukee blades ($60) didn't do much more than 2-300 cuts on a 8" Metal Saw. They were noticeably duller after 100. Metal Devil blades by Morse did much better on the 8" ($45) than the Milwaukee's. Would be at least 250 cuts before they started cutting badly. I would average at least 300-400 cuts with them in general cutting.
Any tips for cutting Aluminum with a circular saw?
2010年7月13日 · I've used a jig saw in the past. With bi-metal blades you have to watch for build-up though. Pull the saw out and you see the teeth buried/covered in aluminum. Blade speed seems to make a difference. A good jigsaw (my favorite is the Milwaukee with a nice speed control) and you can follow any line, even a straight rip cut.

2014年8月11日 · The best way is a band saw with a miter head, I have a Ellis that does a fantastic job. But like MMW said, how much and how often are you going to need to do this is the key factor. Typically, If your using a 14" chop saw with 1/8" thick tube and thinner and the tube is say 2" x 3" you should be fine but that's about as big as I recommend.

2006年3月19日 · There are cutting wheels you can get just for aluminum get .045 thickness 6" dia. eats them up but cuts good or can use metal cutting circular saw blade they also make a speacil cuttting fluid just for aluminum just spray it ahead of your cut and go Ive cut many feet 1/2" & 3/8"even with battery saw you can cut 1/4"just keep spare battery handy.
