2012年8月22日 · Kinda steep, but if it works to keep my investment looking good maybe worthwhile doing. Is it? If I need to make an alteration to the frame, maybe change an engine type or change the suspension, how do I "touch up" or make mods blend in. Withe everything apart right now I can do a good job with chassis paint and changes or damage can be blended in.

2006年9月25日 · To paint a chassis and make it look this good, is harder to do then painting a car, you have to carry a light in one hand to get inside the frame rails and under the spring pockets, trust me, I used supplied air and I was in there for a long time. Also a regular hvlp gun won't work with a cup on it. I used a binks # 7 to do it.

2009年3月15日 · Well i will just take you back to industrial spec on this kind of job..2 wet coats of high quality primer and a topcoat of a UV resistant paint..Just do the best you can to reach all the areas..Powder coat requires the chassis be stripped entirely and is not to me a practical answer..In any event read the instructions that come with the product..

I was going to go with POR-15 but had heard way too many bad experiences. 2 coats of the silver primer and one coat of the chassis black and you are good to go.

2005年5月1日 · Easiest is to get a gal. of Dupont Chassie Black. It's an Alkyloid Enamel and once it's dried,usually to the touch in 20-30 min,couple of days to fully dry,is some of the strongest frame/trailer paint around. Nice glossy finish and it's very tough. Second would be Nason Industrial Enamel as you can get it in colors. Gun is your choice.

2007年6月18日 · While I love the look and finish of the semi gloss Martin Senour chassis paint, the finish is chipping off with even mild taps of a wrench. The primer looks to be holding fine but a good bond between the primer and chassis black did not occur. I use the jeep on gravel roads regularly, so this finish is not going to work for me.

2012年4月5日 · As far as finishes, again, do a search here. There are a wide variety of products in a wide price range that will do the job. All depends on what type of application you want, and the finish you are looking at. Some possibilities are Imron paint, Epoxy Paint, POR 15, Rust Bullet, etc. Stay away from the Rustoleum.
