2013年7月17日 · Hi everyone! My adopted older dog just had 7 teeth pulled and a dental cleaning yesterday, and I'm worried about her recovery. Does this all seem normal?-Been home for almost 24 hours-Hasn't moved at all-Can barely lift head-Won't drink water (we keep putting water around her lips, and she sort of licks it off)

She seems much better, less drooling if at all, and was eating a bit and relieving herself regularly. Today, her right eye looks a bit odd and rolls a bit while she is standing or still.

The other thing you might want to address after the dental is his diet; I've noticed much greater tartar buildup in dogs eating poorer quality foods.

2019年6月28日 · My baby dog Hershey was 13 yrs old, had a collapsed trachea for a few years but was in good health in general able to breath fine on her own and didn't need medication. I was with this clinic for over 10 years and they had all Hershey's medical records. She had a dental done couple years ago with them and had recovered fine.

At that point, the shelter had given him some dental work surgery, but his previous owners hadn't given him the best oral hygiene treatments so his teeth weren't in the best of shape.

They only did one side of his mouth and want to do the other side in two months. Which I’m very nervous to put him under anesthesia again.

2024年1月4日 · My dog (16yrs old) needs to have a dental and it's scheduled in a few weeks. Heart sounds good and bloodwork is okay too. He has arthritis and is on previcox. The painkillers they use during surgery is metacam and I know they can't be mixed. So I'm thinking of giving it really early the day before (8am) as he's to be brought at 9am the next day.
