Files not showing in Windows file explorer | Dropbox Community
I can view and access files via my phone and via dropbox online, but some files are not visible in Windows Explorer (Win 10). The strange thing is that the files are actually there; If I open excel, for example, and select the file from the recently opened files list, the file opens. If I save the file, it will reappear in Windows Explorer.

My dropbox app won't open when I click on it, run it as administrator, disable my firewall or anti-virus program, reinstall it, or anything else I have tried... It is the same for both my computer and laptop. I use windows 11, 64 bit system.

These other users experience an annoying dropbox feature after every Windows login: A dropbox panel pops up and invites them to create a dropbox account.

When I right-click on a folder or file on my Dropbox the drop down menu is the same as local folders (Desktop, etc.). Therefore, I can't, for example, toggle smart sync options or access previous versions of the files on my desktop. I've already uninstalled dropbox and reinstalled to the latest version but the problem persists. I'm on Windows 10.

Windows has a limit of 15 overlay icons that Windows Explorer can load, and the operating system reserves 4 for its own use. If there are more than 15, then the Dropbox icons or context menus may not show.
Cannot install Dropbox with Windows 11
Dropbox was installed before the upgrade to Windows 11. It has run completely fine but with the recent update to dropbox I was told I needed to update to the latest version in order to continue using Dropbox. However, despite my attempts to install the update it never starts.
