2015年5月2日 · I have been working in test mode with the GPS antenna held in place on the dash using double sided adhesive tape. The cable isn't long enough to site the antenna on the dash under the windscreen and avoid the speaker grille that's in the corner near the A pillar in my car, so I was still in thinking mode about options for permanent placement.

2007年11月14日 · All the GM systems I have worked with have the Nav antenna just under the dash pad in an area with no metal directly above. The antennas work well enough with the little attenuation seen through the windshield and dash pad for the systems to pick up as eight different GPS satellites. GPS antennas typically have a metal backplane on them.
