2022年4月21日 · While my 184BS is getting its spring makeover at the shop my wife and I have decided to remove the top bunk bed. First and foremost, it is quite claustrophobic being on/in the bottom bunk. Second, I think it will help us to travel lighter by not using the top bunk to store and carry along more stuff we never use anyway.

2018年10月10日 · First thing: Contact Jayco customer service and ask for drawings of the bunk and surrounding wall construction so you know where everything is. It took about a week to get mine but they did send detail construction drawings. Second thing: Pry up the top board enough to make sure they didn't run any wires through the bunk.

The side supports and cross members for the upper bunk were screwed in from the outside underneath the skin. I would have to cut the screws to free the bunk.
