Just place the new impeller on the drive shaft and alingn the keyway and turn the drive shaft the same way as the motor would. Putting a little lube (dish soap) on the impeller helps when putting it back together.

It's not going to affect the engine at all and will be gone after 2 minutes running. It's just a precaution so as not to run the impeller dry momentarily and to make the installation of the impeller into the cup a easy matter.

2011年5月13日 · But, from what I gathered, buy the kit with the new o-rings for the shaft and take the shift wires loose and pull them through(not digging that idea) and pop off the impeller/waterpump top, carefully. Take off the old impeller, slide the new one on with a light weight oil, reassemble. Shouldn't be more than an hour or so, being careful.
