Kai Chresten Winding (/ ˈkaɪ ˈwɪndɪŋ / KY WIN-ding; [a] May 18, 1922 – May 6, 1983) [2] was a Danish-born American trombonist and jazz composer. He is known for his collaborations with fellow trombonist J. J. Johnson.
