North East MRT line - Wikipedia
Coloured purple on official maps, it is Singapore's third MRT line and the world's first fully-automated underground driverless heavy rail line. The NEL was planned during the 1980s to alleviate traffic congestion on roads leading to the northeast suburbs of the country.
