2017年5月20日 · Making the 556 lower take AR mags probably increased sales and made it last longer than it would have otherwise IMHO. My take on the whole story is: For both the masses and the 55x fanbois, Sig started off badly. The initial 556 was visually unappealing with an AR stock and a heavy, ugly fishgill stock.

2019年5月28日 · JS 556- April 2011 JT 556- May 2012 44B pistol- Mar 2014 One interesting thing to note is that, according to what i have read, JS and JT guns are typically considered to be 08/09 production; this is not the case here. I inquired about the prefixes, and the Sig representative helping me said that they are not any indicator of production date.

2011年8月5日 · SIG was having those early troubles with cantted rails, mis-matched coloured receivers, and bad barrel alignment much earlier than that though. Just consider this too...if production was ramped up for say a year period from late 2008 til late 2009, that means more firearms from that period are on the market and out in the world.

2013年1月27日 · In the Sig 556 design a tiny amount of gas vents indirectly out of a second gas valve port and out the gas block. The purpose is to keep the second gas valve port open and clean and ready to deploy. The tiny amount of gas expelled is enough to do this but inconsequential to driving the piston back.
