2022年1月3日 · Here is what I am thinking: 3' deep x 3' wide x 5' high smokehouse, pine or cedar 2x4 frame (untreated wood) with double walled construction with insulation in between (fiberglass, ceramic fiber, mineral wool, or sheep's wool), 1/2" cement board (Hardie Backer, other brands?) for reflecting heat, and high-temp silicone sealant for the inside seams.

You do not KNOW if it's ok or not, and in a smoking chamber, with minimum draft and the same smoke hanging around the meat inside that enclosure bothers me. And understand, I am not afraid of treated wood of any type like some are.

For the most part the walls exposed to heat and smoke will be solid wood covering the glue/resin/goop that holds plywood together. My suggestion would be as stated previously to use the good stuff, perhaps 3/4 birch.

Could be cheaper than using all of that LP. Of course I could be totally wrong. There are a few threads made in the last year discussing larger propane burners for smokehouses.

Im making it out of ceder, it will sit on a row or 2 of cinder blocks and have a seperate firebox with smoke/heat piped in.
