Feedback on Caravel 16 and 19 ft - Airstream Forums
2021年9月10日 · I’m looking for feedback on pros & cons between the 16 and 19 ft Caravel. Been waffling back and forth for almost two years - it’s time to decide. I’m in love with the front/ back panoramic windows of the 16. Worry about: being too small, but mostly about the wet bath and one grey/black tank.

2024年1月18日 · In my opinion, the upgrades on the Caravel from the Bambi are well worth the extra cost (porcelain toilet, ducted air etc.). We did not consider the Basecamp as we wanted a separate bathroom / shower, separate tanks and more storage. We just purchased our Caravel about two weeks ago so we are looking forward to our first trip.

2024年10月25日 · G'day Bob, the Caravel is 1965, with an all cast door frame, inner and outer. I don't have any more detailed photos than the first two that I posted. I have the plywood floor to use as a pattern for the new one, the door section of the floor is dead straight for 1965.

2021年5月13日 · Our 2021 Caravel 16 has been great, two people, live the windows, especially looking up at stars and waking to the ocean or Mountain View. Our Baraldi hood vent motor became out of balance and made horrible rumbling noise. I had to remount the motor, it’s useable now but still nosier than it should be.

2020年4月21日 · The caravel at the show also had the convection/microwave, but not sure if thats not an option on the Bambi as well. Otherwise they seemed pretty similar and, honestly, we liked the interior color selection better on the Bambi.

2023年5月19日 · The 16rb Caravel will likely weigh 3700 to 3800 pounds leaving the factory. To keep it below 4000 would mean having to leave almost everything at home. There are lots of things you can do to reduce tongue weight to bring it down to the Mavericks limit of 400 but I think at that point the tongue weight would be at an unsafe low weight.
