2016年6月1日 · I have both the 1:1 and 2:1 epoxies. One is glue and one is for crafts requiring clear pours. Another is a couple 4 oz containers. Last year I used about a gallon laminating pieces of acrylic with wood, then turning them on my lathe. I also used some commercial grade cyanoacrylate glue (a.k.a. Super Glue). In both instances, I scuffed the surfaces.

2007年5月20日 · Cast acrylic adhesives such as Weld-on #3, soften or melt the acrylic and then the solvents evaporates to “cure” the pieces together, but they won’t adhere to wood. I’ve tried polyurethane glue (Gorilla glue) but it won’t adhere to cast acrylic.

2020年10月31日 · Turners tape is the way to go. Regular old two-sided tape from big blue or big orange just won't do it. Turners tape is strong enough that it won't slip during your routing. In fact, it bind so strong you may have trouble separating the template from the wood if it's not strong enough. It's expensive $20 a roll or so, but worth it.

The glue is still holding, even after rain, freezing temperatures and moss growing over everything. The description reads: Strong adhesive. Chloroprene cement.

2016年5月23日 · It is a thin glue, so it won't fill the "holes" between the stones but will be almost invisible and should also stick if the contact surface is small. Time for the glue to set is extremely quick. If you want to glue and fill the hole at the same time, 2 components epoxy such as Araldit should work and some are transparent.

2003年2月1日 · Charlie, I don't think using a gap filling glue, like Gorilla Glue, will give you any additional structural strength. Yes, the foam can fill the joint, which, if it were exposed, might reduce the appearance of a gap -- but the strength of a joint is in the bond between wood fibers. Otherwise, you could just glue end grain to end grain, for example.

2008年1月2日 · It is my understanding that it isn't the substrate that causes or eliminates the warping, but the veneer itself, which is a solid wood, albeit a thin piece of solid wood. When you use a water based glue to attach the veneer to the substrate the veneer gets quite wet. It will expand initially and then shrink as it dries over the next day or two.
