Now I have a MS-271 16" with regular & full chisel chains. I have 20-ish dead oaks due to caterpillar damage that I need to deal with and am contemplating a bigger bar. Stihl says 16-20" but I was wondering if a 24" would work ok with a 1/2 skip or full skip chisel.

2020年10月18日 · If you plan on doing much cutting, take a look at a MS 261. More power, less weight, but costs around $125 more. 2019 2025r, FEL, 60" autoconnect deck, pallet forks, some other stuff.

2014年6月20日 · The ms 271 is about the level of saw I used to have. The ms 271 price is 459.00. The next size up is the ms 311 at 509.00. The echo cs 590 price 399.00 is comparable to the ms 271. But the saw is comparable to the ms 311. Ms 271 is 50 cc....both the ms 311 and the echo cs 590 are 60 cc chainsaws. So should I stick with Stihl ( prob the ms 271 ).

I also got the 6 quarts of Stihl pre-mix fuel which extended the warranty from 1 to 2 years. 525 out the door.
